Making your gifts beautiful can be a fun part of gift-giving. There are so many beautiful gift wraps, bags and ribbons available that it’s easy to buy a lot. And then storing them can get tricky. The large rolls of wrap, in particular, can be easily damaged and take up a lot of space.
There are some gift wrap organizers that can help you get a handle on your wrap inventory.
Rubbermaid’s Wheeled Underbed Box, for example, allows you to use the frequently wasted space under your bed to stash wrap. The wheels make it easy to take out and put away.
This soft-sided Gift Wrap Storage Bag from Master Craft, can also be tucked under the bed and carried easily to your gift wrapping station.
The Container Store sells a Vertical Gift Wrap Organizer that stores rolls of wraps on end tucked away in a closet, garage or attic.
I personally use a combination of the Hanging Gift Wrap Organizer and Hanging Gift Tote Organizer from the Container Store, which together store all my gift wrap rolls, flat paper, gift bags, and ribbons, from the rod in an extra closet.
I’m trying to simplify my gift wrap so I have less to organize and store. Once my current supply is gone, my intention is to purchase just one color of wrap (white, silver or brown craft). And then I’ll tie it up with colorful ribbon. You could give it a try, too. If you wrap a lot of gifts, you might buy one season’s worth of single-color paper and change your signature color each year. There will be so much less paper to store and keep pristine!
